Unit 1: Tawheed and Faith Topics:

• The Oneness of Allah
• Allah as the Creator
• Allah as the Giver of Life
• Attributes of Allah (The All-Knowing, The All-Seeing, The All-Hearing)

Objectives:

• Understand the concept of Tawheed and its importance in Islam
• Learn about the attributes of Allah and their impact on a Muslim’s life

Unit 2: Prophethood and Messengership Topics:

• The Messengers of Allah
• The roles of prophets in conveying the message
• The life and character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

Objectives:

• Understand the importance of prophethood and messengership in Islam
• Study the life and character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a model to follow

Unit 3: The Five Pillars of Islam Topics:

• The Shahada (Testimony of Faith)
• Salah (Prayer)
• Zakah (Almsgiving)
• Sawm (Fasting)
• Hajj (Pilgrimage)

• Understand the Five Pillars of Islam and how to implement them in daily life
• Learn how to correctly perform acts of worship

Unit 4: Sources of Islamic Legislation Topics:

• The Quran: Revelation, compilation, main themes
• The Sunnah: Its importance and relationship with the Quran
• Islamic Sharia: Concept and secondary sources

• Learn about the Sunnah and its role in legislation

Unit 5: Islamic Ethics and Manners Topics:

• Manners of conversation, eating, drinking, sleeping, going out, and using the restroom

• The Seerah (Biography of the Prophet)
• The Hijrah, battles, and the Islamic call in Mecca and Medina
• The Rightly Guided Caliphs and their roles in spreading Islam

Unit 7: Fiqh of Worship and Transactions Topics:

• Purity and Wudu (Ablution)
• Fiqh of Salah and Sawm
• Fiqh of Zakah and Hajj
• Rules of financial and social transactions in Islam
